About the role
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems.
Responsibilities
- Partner with customer teams to drive capacity delivery.
- Design and build frameworks, software, and tooling for fast, reliable deployments.
- Implement intricate mitigation strategies to manage outages.
- Monitor, and analyze dozens of interconnected systems for efficiency gains, resiliency, and predictability.
- Develop sustainable incident response and painless postmortems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field in software or systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 2 years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with Unix/Linux system internals (e.g., signals, processes, threads, file descriptors).
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging distributed systems in a production environment.
- Experience in designing and developing software for operational automation, monitoring, or reliability (e.g., managing scalability, fault tolerance, and availability).
